About the Plough Inn

The Plough Inn is in private ownership and has been sympathetically restored and offers those discerning diners & drinkers a relaxing refuge from the hustle & bustle of everyday life.

A delicious meal or quiet drink can be enjoyed around log fires in one of two bars or in the Conservatory Restaurant, which also plays host to a fantastic Sunday carvery and private functions.

The Poacher's Pocket

The Poachers Pocket with adjoining snug is a truly characterful country bar with log fire, quarry tiled floor & a wealth of beams and interesting eclectic bric a brac.

It hosts 5 cask ale pumps and is a favourite meeting place for locals & visitors alike.

The Poachers Pocket is welly and dog friendly.

The adjoining Snug which can seat up to 16 people makes it an ideal room for groups of walkers to enjoy a local pint of cask ale or grab a bite to eat.

The Piano Bar

The Piano Bar has a Boudoir Grand Piano and a wood burner. This bar is popular with music lovers and hosts our Sunday lunch jazz sessions and other weekday music jamming sessions.

The Poachers & Piano Bars are both dog friendly with all well behaved four legged friends welcome with their well-trained owners!

The Conservatory

The Conservatory combines modern with old with an eclectic mix of furniture and sofas offering the ideal venue for private parties & functions, wedding breakfasts, shoot breakfasts and many other social gatherings.

Our Sunday carvery is exceptionally popular and is a favourite for young or not so young alike, an absolute family affair for a relaxing Sunday Lunch.

The Garden

Our secluded beer garden is the ideal backdrop for a lunch time drink in the sunshine or a quiet drink on a warm summer's evening.
